Your account and your Local

Techurai operates the software and sign-in service. Your Local decides who may access its portal and manages its official membership, credential, dispatch, employment and dues records. These records may contain sensitive information about trade union membership. Contact your Local about its recordkeeping practices and decisions.

Information we handle

Account and contact information includes your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, account identifiers, sign-in information and communication preferences. You can use the app to update the profile fields your Local allows you to change.

Union information includes your member number, membership status, classifications, skills, credentials, employment history, out-of-work status, job interests, notice acknowledgements and dues history, if your Local uses those features.

Files you choose to upload may include licenses, certifications, images, documents for Dispatch, and documents your Local needs to approve a contractor. We also receive the information you send when asking for support. Please leave passwords, verification codes and unnecessary personal information out of support requests.

Our hosting and authentication providers process technical information such as IP addresses, browser or device information, sign-in events and security logs to deliver and protect the service. If you enable biometric sign-in, your device manages Face ID or Touch ID; MemberHall does not receive your facial image or fingerprint template.

How information is used and shared

We use this information to sign you in, connect you to your Local, provide member services, send requested messages, answer support questions, and keep MemberHall secure and reliable. What you can see depends on your account’s role and permissions. If your Local turns on the member directory and your record is marked visible, people with directory access can see that information.

Techurai and your Local use other services to run MemberHall: Clerk handles sign-in; Cloudflare hosts the service, stores data and delivers content; and communication providers send email or text messages. Stripe processes dues payments when your Local turns them on. MemberHall keeps payment status and transaction references. You enter card details through Stripe; MemberHall does not store your full card details.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service and its users, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate privacy protections. MemberHall does not sell member records or use them for advertising.

Website analytics

The public MemberHall website uses Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand website visits and performance. Website analytics may process cookies, page activity and device or browser information. This website measurement is separate from the signed-in member app. Your browser settings can restrict cookies and other website storage.

Deleting your account and the records your Local keeps

You can delete your account in the iPhone app under Sign-in & security → Security → Delete account. In the web portal, open Manage account from your account menu, then Security → Delete account. You may need to verify your identity to confirm the request.

Deleting your account removes your sign-in account and access to MemberHall. We then remove your app profile and contact details, notification preferences, in-app notifications, and personal credential files you uploaded. If file removal is interrupted, MemberHall tries again. Contact support if you need help checking that it finished.

Your Local keeps its official records separately from your app account. Those records include your name and member ID along with your membership, credential decisions, dispatch, employment, dues and related administrative history. Documents sent for Dispatch review or contractor approval, including termination slips, agreements and bonds, are also official Local records. Deleting your app account does not end your union membership, remove those records, or cancel dues you owe or payment arrangements. Contact your Local to ask about correcting or deleting official records, how long it must keep them, or any active payment arrangement.

We keep limited security records and records of account deletion to prevent unauthorized access and processing the same request more than once. Backup copies follow the hosting provider’s schedule for keeping and removing backups. Records we keep can be accessed only for authorized administrative purposes.

Your choices and requests

You can change the profile fields your Local allows and your notification preferences in the app or portal. Other rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information may depend on where you live and the nature of the records. Send app privacy requests to support@techurai.com. Include your Local’s name and explain what you’re asking for. We may need to verify your identity and work with your Local on requests about its official records.

How we protect and keep information

We use account permissions and encrypted connections to protect information, but no service can guarantee complete security. Techurai and its providers handle information using systems that include those in the United States. We keep app data for as long as we need it to provide the service or complete an account deletion request. Your Local decides how long to keep its official records based on its obligations.

Children and policy changes

MemberHall is intended for members and authorized users of participating unions, and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact support. We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date.
